Junior A Timbermen host Game 2 vs Shamrocks Friday

The Timbermen are down 1-0 in a best of five BCJALL playoff series with the Victoria Shamrocks.  On Wednesday Victoria won 13-9 on home floor to open the series.

Nanaimo had a 5-4 first period lead but the Tmen were outscored 9-4 over the final 40 minutes.

Andrew Bowman and Riley Arsenault each had three goals and two assists in the game.

Nanaimo was outshot 55-41 with Colby Bowman making 42 saves.

Friday's game is a 7 p.m. start at Frank Crane Arena with the remainder of the series scheduled for July 16,18 and 21.
