Junior A Timbermen on four game winning streak
The Nanaimo Junior A Timbermen are continuing their march up the BCJALL standings.
Nanaimo has won four games in a row to boost their record to 5-3.
On Saturday the Timbermen outlasted New Westminster 9-7 in overtime.
Andrew Bowman and Levi Verch had the only goals in OT to ensure the win.
Jack Bowie led the team with a goal and three assists while Luke Ory, Verch and Matt Boas all had three point outings.
Colby Bowman backstopped Nanaimo with 47 stops.
Then on Sunday the Tmen had a massive third period to take down the Delta Islanders 16-10.
Nanaimo had a narrow 7-6 after 40 minutes but outscored Delta 9-4 in the third to grab the victory.
Andrew Bowman led the offense with three goals and four assists while Riley Arsenault chipped in with five goals and an assist.
Colby Bowman had a 50 save performance in net.
The May 27th game was the final outing at the Nanaimo Ice Centre with the Tmen moving to Frank Crane Arena for the May 28th contest.
The rest of the Timbermen games will be played at Frank Crane including a 1 p.m. start against the Port Coquitlam Saints on Saturday June 3.
