Nanaimo 5-0 after victory in New West

The Junior A Timbermen are perfect to start the season after a 9-5 win over the Salmonbellies.

Once again Andrew Bowman and Matt Boas led the charge, Bowman with five points and Boas with four.

Keegan Okino was a force in goal with 39 saves.

After five games Bowman leads the BCJALL in scoring with 23 points and he's the top goal scorer with 12.

Matt Boas sits second in league scoring grabbing 21 points while Ty Pilkington is second in BCJALL assists picking up 14.

Keegan Okino leads the league five wins and he's second in both goals against average and save percentage at 5.80 and .869.

This weekend the Tmen play the teams directly behind them in the standings.

Second place Coquitlam visits Frank Crane Arena on Saturday June 1 at 1:30 p.m. and Nanaimo travels to play third place Poco at 2 p.m. on Sunday June 2.
