Nanaimo Junior Timbermen Welcome Ken Woollard

The Nanaimo Junior Timbermen are pleased to announce that Ken Woollard has joined the organization as Governor for the Junior A and Junior B Tier 1 teams.

Ken brings a wealth of lacrosse knowledge to the Timbermen. He started playing lacrosse in Burnaby in 1971 up until the Junior level, when he had to stop playing due to family and work commitments, however, he never left the game becoming Burnaby's Head Referee. He coached minor lacrosse in Burnaby and continued to coach lacrosse into the senior level with Port Coquitlam.

Ken has also he has taken on several other roles in lacrosse, including:

  • BC Lacrosse Official Chair,
  • Vice President BC Lacrosse,
  • Vice President Surrey Burrards and Maple Ridge Burrards,
  • General Manager Richmond Outlaws Jr "A" Lacrosse,
  • General Manager Port Coquitlam Jr A" Saints, and most recently
  • Governor Jr "A' and Jr B Tie 1 Port Coquitlam Saints

Ken lives on the mainland with his wife (Carolyn), son (Justin), and daughter (Caitlyn).

Ken's very excited to have the opportunity to join the Timbermen Family. Ken's knowledge will assist the Executive at Governor meetings, (which are held on the mainland) and team meetings. His team goals are to ensure the best players and team are on the floor each night, to make the playoffs and to represent BC at the Minto Cup. Ken feels that the only way to get the results we want to achieve is to work as a Team, which includes the Executive, team personal, players, and players’ families.
