Timbermen acquire Vaesen from Shamrocks

The Victoria Shamrocks have acquired a former BCJALL first-round pick from their Island rivals.

The Nanaimo Timbermen have traded Zach Manns to Victoria for the playing rights to Thomas Vaesen and a second-round selection in the 2019 BCJALL Midget Draft.

Manns is currently a Sophomore at Drexel University where he plays as a midfielder. He had one goal, four assists and three ground balls. He played in six games with the T-Men, and when he did, he was great. He held a three PPG average, scoring six goals and 12 assists on 22 per cent shooting in the process.  He was a former BCJALL first round draft pick.

Vaesen is a player with a proven track record at the Intermediate level. He was with Victoria in Intermediate, winning a provincial gold and being named Tournament MVP in the process. The Cowichan Valley product already has 12 goals, 18 points and 44 shots playing at the University of Montevallo in Alabama.
