Timbermen are 7-6 after weekend results

The Timbermen dropped two games on the weekend to Coquitlam and Delta.

Against the Adanacs on home floor on Saturday it was a classic playoff style game.

Both teams had third period leads with the A's winning 6-5.

Colby Bowman was tremendous in net with Coquitlam outshooting Nanaimo 53-40.

The game was tied 1-1 after the first period and the Adanacs led 3-2 after two.

Nanaimo started the final frame on a three goal run but Coquitlam scored three consecutive goals to take the game.

The Tmen had five different goal scorers with Jack Bowie finishing with three points and Andrew Bowman and Matt Boas recording two each.

On Sunday afternoon Nanaimo traveled to Delta and suffered a 10-7 setback.

The Islanders outscored the Timbermen by one in each period.

Riley Arsenault led the offense with a goal and three assists and five other players had two points including Bren Jamieson with two goals.

Keegan Okino finished with a 39 save performance in goal.

Nanaimo has a 7-6 record which is good for fourth place in the BCJALL standings.

The Timbermen host the Langley Thunder at 3:30 p.m. on June 17 and then visit New Westminster on June 18.
