Timbermen drop weekend games
The Junior A Timbermen look to get back on track after a pair of setbacks on the weekend at home to Coquitlam and on the road in Port Coquitlam.
Nanaimo suffered their first loss of the season Saturday in a 10-0 decision to the Adanacs.
The game was tight through 40 minutes with Coquitlam taking a 1-0 lead after the first period and a 3-0 advantage through two.
A seven goal third period broke open the game for the A's.
Then on Sunday the Tmen travelled to Poco to take on the Saints.
The game ended 12-6 for Port Coquitlam with Matt Boas leading the offence with four points.
Andrew Bowman chipped in three, while Logan Schmidt, Dylan Manson, Ty Pilkington and Nickolas Luitwieler also scored.
Keegan Okino made 31 saves as Poco outshot Nanaimo 43-35.
Heading into this week's action the Adanacs, Saints, and Timbermen all have five wins to lead the BCJALL in points.
The Tmen host Langley on Saturday June 8 at 3:30 at Frank Crane Arena then they visit Burnaby on Sunday June 9 at 2 p.m.
