The Timbermen made the Island Savings Centre in Duncan their home this past weekend, but it wasn't a friendly one.
Delta won 17-11 on the strength of seven goal first and second periods.
For the Tmen Cody Clark led the way with four points while Jake Mickelson and Alec Molander added three.
Nanaimo's Kain Stewart and Darian Claxton shared the goaltending duties with the the Timbermen outshooting the Islanders 43-38.
This weekend the Tmen will be back at Frank Crane Arena for a game against the Salmonbellies at 4:30 p.m.
