NANAIMO LEADS SERIES 1-0

GAME 2 - WEDNESDAY - COQUITLAM SPORTS CENTRE - 6:15 PM

For the past few seasons it has been the Coquitlam Adanacs who used steady goaltending and the ability to swing the momentum to their side with a run of multiple goals that helped them all but put the game away.

It was a bit of a role reversal when it was the Nanaimo Timbermen using a 5-goal run to take a 7-3 lead that the A's would never recover from.

For Nanaimo, it's a monumental win, but no one should be booking any hotels in Langley just yet.

Time and time again Coquitlam has performed well in the the face of adversity and this situation is no different.

But one thing the Timbermen have done is take hold of the momentum first before heading back to the Palace on Poirier for a Wednesday evening Game 2.

They could continue it if they get another stellar performance from netminder Justin Geddie, who turned away 48 of 53 shots, including 19 in the final frame.
