Timbermen pick up two wins
Nanaimo is now 6-2 and in a tie for first place in the BCJALL.
The team is on a five game winning streak after taking down the Adanacs 8-7 in overtime on Friday and then beating New Westminster 10-8 on Saturday.
In Friday's road victory in Coquitlam Andrew Bowman led the offence with three goals and three assists, Jacob Dunbar had a hat trick plus an assist. He also notched the OT winner. Ryan Sheridan picked up four points as well with a goal and three assists.
Justin Geddie had another strong performance with 55 saves.
On Saturday the Tmen were down 7-4 after the first period but clawed back to beat the Salmonbellies 10-8.
Connor Barrett paced the attack with three goals and an assist while Bowman, Sheridan and Dunbar all had three points.
Nanaimo prepares for a first place showdown against the 6-2 Victoria Shamrocks on June 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Q Centre.
The two teams haven't met since the all Island best of three playoff series to wrap up the 2021 shortened season.
The Timbermen won two of the three playoff games last August.
