Timbermen take first overall in Showcase season

With a 6-2 record the Nanaimo Timbermen took first place in the BCJALL's Showcase season.  The Tmen and Lakers both finished with identical records but Nanaimo won the head to head matchup and posted better goals for and goals against numbers.

The final week finished with the Timbermen dropping an 11-9 decision to Victoria at home and winning 14-6 on the road in Langley. 

In the home contest the Tmen were even or had the lead most of the game but the Shamrocks rallied in the final five minutes to get the win.  Arthur Miller and Ryan Sheridan each had four points while Griffen and Skylar Wilson tallied three apiece.  Justin Geddie made 40 saves on the night.

Sheridan had seven points in the season finale against the Thunder while Connor Barrett chipped in four assists.  Goalie Colby Bowman got the victory and added two assists as well.

The three game Island playoff features three games all in different buildings. 

Tuesday August 3rd at 7pm Nanaimo will play Victoria at the Nanaimo Ice Centre, then Thursday August 5th the Tmen will host the Shamrocks at Frank Crane Arena also at 7pm.

The playoff will conclude Saturday August 7th in Esquimalt starting at 8pm.

Doors will open at 6:15pm for the Nanaimo games with tickets on a first come first serve basis.  There is a 200 seat capacity at the NIC and the capacity for the game at Frank Crane Arena is still to be determined.
