Tmen add players before deadline but fall 11-8 to Saints

by Dan Marshall

The Junior A Timbermen battled the Port Coquitlam Saints in their only game of the week.

Nanaimo lost 11-8 on home floor to drop to 9-5 in the BCJALL standings.

The Tmen are third in the standings with a massive game against the 8-7 Salmonbellies on July 6.

Versus the Saints, Andrew Bowman and Matt Boas both had four point games while Keegan Okino and Bostyn MacDonald split the goaltending duties.

Ayden McDonald made his Nanaimo debut after being acquired from the Delta Islanders prior to the BCJALL trade deadline.

The Timbermen gave up a second round selection in 2026 in return.

Nanaimo also added Chase Schiavon from Langley for a 2025 third round draft pick.
