Tmen host Islanders in Duncan after 0-1-1 weekend vs Lakers and Saints
A second straight overtime matchup with the Burnaby Lakers started off the long weekend for the Tmen.
Nanaimo tied the Lakers 10-10 with Alec Molander leading the way with four points, and Cody Clark and Adam Golia chipping in three.
The Timbermen tied the game 9-9 late in regulation and both teams swapped goals in the overtime.
The shots were 49-45 Burnaby with Kain Stewart and Darian Claxton sharing the goaltending duties.
On Sunday it was a disappointing effort in Port Coquitlam.
The Saints won 17-8 and outshot Nanaimo 60-35. It came down to a sloppy second period in which PoCo outscored the Timbermen 8-2.
Adam Golia and Matt Jung paced Nanaimo's attack with four points each while both goalies Claxton and Stewart saw time in the crease.
Sunday the Tmen host the Delta Islanders at the Island Savings Centre in Duncan at 2 p.m.
So far each team has one once in the season series.
