Weekend split for Timbermen

The Junior A Timbermen are now 9-3 on the season after their latest home floor weekend.

Nanaimo lost 10-6 to New West on Saturday and won 15-10 against Delta on Sunday.

In the June 15 game the Tmen built up a 6-4 early in the second period but failed to score the rest of the game.

Andrew Bowman had four points while Dylan Manson and Ty Pilkington each had two.

Keegan Okino stopped 47 shots in the loss.

On Fathers Day Nanaimo got back in the win column versus the Islanders.

Bowman had a massive day with five goals and two assists. 

Matt Boas had six points, Pilkington picked up five and Blake Maracle notched a hat trick plus an assist.

Okino and Bostyn MacDonald split the duties in goal.

With his massive seven point outing Bowman now owns the scoring title with 50 points, while Boas is tied for fifth in BCJALL scoring.

Nanaimo has a huge test against the Adanacs on the road on June 23 at 3 p.m.

They'll be back on home floor June 29 versus Poco.
